Meet office dog Tim – a 16-month old Schnoodle (poodle and schnauzer cross). Tim has had a part-time office job for about a year now. He has a very important job of looking cute, increasing stress-reducing hormone oxytocin in humans, and therefore creating a calmer and less stressful environment for all his work colleagues. Well really, Tim has his own human too who works there but whose job description is completely different!
I met Tim in Greenwich Park to take a few pictures of his cute self. Having only known him within the office environment where he's incredibly well b...
Meet Satoshi Nakamoto, an 11-month old Chihuahua puppy named after the mysterious bitcoin founder. We spent a lovely afternoon in Battersea Park the day before the big rain. The sky was suitably moody; the rain in the recent weeks had replenished the grass which was green and luscious - a perfect setting for a pet photoshoot. Satoshi is a loveable dog, a tiny puppy with a huge personality, a stamina of an athlete and the fluffiest pair of ears a dog can ever own... Enjoy the photos!
To continue on the theme of cats, I have decided to dedicate a blog post to Bender – also known as Mr. B or “the most beautiful cat in the world”. I have known Bender for almost 7 years, so he was only a young 1-year-old when I first met him. The very first test pictures of my (then) new SLR camera were of Bender the cat, and these pictures are still some of my favourites, because they mark the beginning of my interest in pet photography.
I have seen Bender getting older and wiser, cuter and lazier (and also gain a few inches around his waist!). He is a Bengal cat, with beautiful stripes and sp...
Saffy is 15-year-old Burmese cat that lives in a lovely house in Putney. Despite her senior age, Saffy is a very active and affectionate lady, who loves nothing more than cuddles and getting involved with whatever her pet human is doing. I spent a few days looking after her, getting to know her a bit better. She would supervise my breakfast in the morning, and curl up on my lap in the evening watching an episode of “Vikings” on the couch. She comes with great sound effects, snoring at night, and purring whenever she has some companion. Below are a few pictures of this gorgeous cat – enjoy!
In the early days of autumn, I had the pleasure of photographing Kush, an old lady from Walthamstow. Since Kush is a rescue, no one really knows how old she is now, but judging by the greys in her face and stiffness in her joints it is obvious that she is of a respectable age and deserves to spend her golden years being loved and spoiled.
Kush was found tied to a lamp post in the middle of the night 10 years ago. The person who found her waited beside her for a few hours to see if the owner would come back, but no one claimed her. Luckily she was fit and healthy, though she may have had several...
On the 3rd of September Pawsome Pet Photos joined the campaigners, both 2-legged and 4-legged in the March For Europe, a protest in London and other cities across the UK that took place as a result of the UK voting to leave the European Union.
Although the UK’s future is uncertain, these 7 awesome guys weren’t going to sit down quietly. They took their humans to the streets demonstrating their love for Europe.
1) Bear is a 6-year old rescue schnauzer who came down to London to protest all the way from the beautiful coast of Wales.
Bear's love for his human Carl is as big as his love for Eur...
I have taken my dog craziness to a whole new level and joined a Frenchie meet-up group. The rumour has it the group started 6 years ago with just 12 French Bulldog owners – now they have 850 members, out of which 100-200 meet regularly every month in Regent’s Park.
Monsieur Kronk made his royal appearance along with his human servants Kaisa and Adam. We were made feel very welcome by the event organisers and all the other Frenchie owners and it wasn’t long before we were all fussing over the army of dogs.
There were Frenchies of all shapes, colours and sizes – in fact over a 50 of them!
Meet Buffy! Buffy is one of the most well-behaved, obedient and loving dogs I have ever photographed. She’s also incredibly photogenic, and absolutely LOVED posing for the camera. It was such a joy working with her.
Buffy is a rescue dog. One thing that I have noticed about rescue dogs is how appreciative they are of their new homes and owners. They are so full of love and always eager to please their families. I am not saying that the lucky ones who were adopted from a good breeder at a young age and have always been well taken care of don’t love their owners. Of course they do. But they can...
